Resonance vs. Pitch

This is a clip of myself moving resonance independent of pitch. Resonance is arguably the most important feature of voice modification. It can be modified by altering the size of the vocal tract. A smaller space creates a bright sound while a large space creates a dark sound.

Resonance plays a big role in how a voice is gendered. If you feel most comfortable in an upper masculine range, you can still achieve a feminine sound by brightening your resonance. Pitch is not everything!
